Awareness is growing for the Grand Challenge need to build financial capability for all Americans, with the recent release of new publications by three leading journals. Social Work, Journal of Social Work Education and Journal of Community Practice each recently published substantial articles about Financial Capability and Asset Building (FCAB). The 60th anniversary issue of Social Work contains the editorial, Celebrating Six Decades of Social Work and Advancing Financial Capability and Asset Development; Journal of Social Work Education (Volume 53) published a special, six article section Financial Capability and Asset Building in Social Work Education; and a special issue of the Journal of Community Practice kicks off with Financial Capability and Asset Building: Building Evidence for Community Practice.
