State-Level Strategies to Promote Prevention Practice, Policy, and Science

This Program Brief describes the strategies aimed at helping states achieve widespread implementation of effective prevention programs and policies. developed by the Coalition for the Promotion of Behavioral Health, part of the Grand Challenge to Ensure healthy development for all youth. The CPBH uses 7 action steps to promote the selection and implementation of tested and effective preventive interventions for behavioral health problems. The CPBH has implemented the strategies identified to promote the use of tested and effective preventive interventions in several states. Three state examples are described in the program brief.
