Create Policies or Programs that Draw on Strengths and Capacity of Older Adults to Build Healthy Communities for All Ages.
Older adults are a largely untapped resource to help improve health, education, and safety for people of all ages in our communities. Emphasis on deficits and disabilities among older adults inhibit development of new roles for people who are living longer and could provide ideas and work to make our communities more supportive of people of all ages. Interdisciplinary ( architecture, education, health, public health, public administration, etc. ) research and cross-sector collaboration will be needed to develop implement, and evaluate the policies and programs necessary to meet this challenge
